Hostel 24 Ljubljana Book here! A laid-back, family-run Hostel for travellers of all ages For travellers who are tired of party hostels with smoke-filled dormitories, people throwing up in their bunks, and loud music playing at 1 in the night, Hostel 24 Ljubljana offers respite. Located in the heart of the city, this hostel is run by a Slovenian family that works hard to maintain a homely atmosphere. As a result, the hostel attracts not just students on their gap years but also middle-aged backpackers and even families looking for cheap accommodation in Ljubljana. Not Located in the Middle of Nowhere Every traveller has a horror story of arriving at a hostel they’d booked online and finding it to be located on the far end of a dirty by-lane with no streetlights. Hostel24 has a bright red facade that crops up on Ljubljana’s busy Poljanska Cesta. The pedestrian road is just 2 minutes and the central station ten minutes on foot from the hostel. To the either side of the hostel building stretches a line of shops, bars, and restaurants. Types of Accommodation The hostel offers a mix of dorms and privates. Each dormitory has a private bathroom and bunks that start at €8 a night. There are four to twelve bunks in each dormitory. Couples or friend duos travelling together can rent a double private for €36 a night. People who are travelling alone but respect their privacy have the option of renting a private room alone for €29 per night. These prices include 9.5% VAT but guests will have to pay €1.01 a night as tourist tax. No matter which accommodation type guests choose, they can be sure of having plenty of company; the hostel has great communal areas and regularly organizes events that facilitate interaction among guests. Hostel 24 Ljubljana has a social but laid-back vibe. The place’s owners work hard to maintain its homely atmosphere. They don’t allow people travelling with weapons to stay on their premises. Drinking alcohol or smoking is not allowed inside the hostel building. Worry not, for there are plenty of bars left and right of the hostel. It accepts reservations through its own website and through a number of booking engines. Book here!
